Majestic Mountain Elopement and Picnic in Telluride in Spring

Ghea + Justin’s mountain-side picnic and hiking elopement was the adventure of a lifetime!

From a mountaintop proposal on Mt. Elbert to an intimate Telluride elopement, these two Colorado lovebirds celebrated each other with adventure, family, and of course, epic scenery. Ghea and Justin wanted to balance their special day with time alone together and celebration with family and friends. They exchanged vows just the two of them among the aspen trees, and then they hopped in their Jeep to another spectacular mountain location for a ceremony with family and friends. “We wanted to get married this way because we wanted to focus on our relationship and our close friends and family, without all the stress and worry,” said Ghea.

Ghea wore a stunning strapless dress by Lulus and created her own dream bouquet of dried flowers from Etsy. Justin looked sharp in a navy suit from Brooks Brothers. Spring was just around the corner, with bright green grass under their feet and snow-capped peaks behind them. Their two best friends co-officiated a ceremony filled with tears and laughter, and the couple popped champagne along the banks of a rushing, alpine stream

They returned to the cozy lodge for a delicious meal by Chef Tim Egelhoff of Timberline Chefs and mouth-watering, strawberry chocolate cake that Ghea’s mother made for dessert. As the sun set, the campfire was lit, sparklers swirled, and the dancing began. This beautiful, small mountain elopement was perfectly their own, from sunrise to sunset!
